BACK TO SCHOOL/COLLEGE PREPARATIONS (FEMALE EDITION)

Ladies, you can't start off the new semester unorganized, that wouldn't make us look like professional young adults, would it? That being said, here are some back to school/college must haves!

1. Backpack Backpack, Yeah!

If you need a new backpack now's the time to start purchasing one. You know, to avoid the back to school last minute shopping rush. However, if you do not necessarily need a new book bag DO NOT BUY ONE! You can save those coins for other things you might need in the future.

2. NoteBooks

Here's another tip to save you a few bucks. If you still have empty pages in your notebook from the previous semester, use up those pages. If you don't, then feel free to purchase yourself some new cute notebooks. Remember, the more you save, the better it is for you!

3. Pens/Pencils

Unless you go to a school where they only use laptops to write down information, something tells me you are going to need a couple of pens & pencils.

4. Calculator- You know, for Math.

5. Wristwatch

So you can pay absolutely no attention to what your lecturers/teachers are saying so you can gaze at the time which seems to be going nowhere, because the class is so boring! Please pay attention kids, your future depends on it.

6. Reading Book

Nowadays everything is on our mobile devices, so you can either download your favorite book on your smartphone or carry a physical copy with you to look intelligent. Psst! I'll go with the hardcopy.

7. Hair, Outfit & Nails.

Now that we got the essentials out of the way--I think-- it's time to slay your first day back with an outfit that'll make your crush fall 'head over heels' in love with you. Or maybe just notice your existence for the first time in two years. But that's not the point. We go to school to LEARN. No boys, boys bad!
8. Tumbler

I just stuck this one in here because I have an obsession with tumblers and I must share this love with the world.

If you enjoyed this post don't hesitate to share with friends or family members. Like and comment below, I love reading them. Until next time yours truly, Tye!!

BACK TO SCHOOL/COLLEGE HYGIENE TIPS!!

The school semester is about to start again so I figured, "why not come up with some useful hygiene tips for our young female B.O.Y.S (Based On You Subscribers). Sorry guys this one is just for the ladies.

The Self-Care Kit

1. Deodorant

As teenagers our body odor tend to get a little wonky. Therefore, certain deodorants that use to work well for us during our pre-teen years, stopped. So if you don't want to walk around smelling like onions and garlic all day, try switching to Men's Deodorant. Trust me, it works wonders!

2. Feminine Wipes

Purchase yourself a pack of feminine wipes (I prefer baby wipes because they smell so good) so that you can wipe off during the day. Prespiration (sweat) doesn't look or feel good on the skin.

3. Mini- Hand Soap/Hand Sanitizer

I don't know about you guys but at the school I attended they NEVER filled the soap dispensers with liquid hand soap. Even if they did I would never use it because the restrooms looked unsanitary.  Yuck! Always travel with your personal hand soap/hand sanitizer.

4. Emergency Pads

I have no clue what a tampon is or how to even use it. But I do know how to use a disposable pad! (Psst, comment below if you want to see a tutorial). Always travel with a pad in case of an *eh-ehm* EMERGENCY! Don't act brand new girlfriend, we all had those days.

5. Menstrual Cramps Pills

If you have terrible period cramps and your period just happens to pay you a visit on a very unexpected day, be sure to keep a small package of menstrual pills in your kit. You know, to avoid having that face like you want to murder somebody--unless that's always how you look-- in that case you be fine.

6. Lip Balm

7. Peppermint Gum/Mints

Please don't draw attention to yourself by sticking a toothbrush & a tube of toothpaste in your mini self~care kit. Instead buy some gum. If you don't want halitosis (bad breath) all day, especially when talking to your crush who doesn't know he'll be your future husband one day, baby girl 'pop a gum'! (P.S. Do not pull out your gum in front of a crowd).

8. Lotion

Don't pretend like your skin never experienced a drought. Always travel with lotion!

9. Mini-Body Spray

Nothing better than looking good like smelling yummy. Yummy yummy yummy!

5 THINGS YOU MUST DO BEFORE SUMMER ENDS!

So, you haven't travelled since Summer started, but that does not mean it's impossible to have fun before it ends. Here are "5 Things You Must Do Before Summer Ends!"

1. Starbucks

Visit your favorite coffee shop or restaurant with friends or family members. Sit down, chat about life, your goals, take photos etc. Make even the smallest moments count with the people you love.

2. Water Balloon Fight

I live upstairs in a 3 Story apartment so my friends and I decided to take a trip to our local beach to have our water balloon fight. So, get your buckets full of water balloons & throw on your cutest swimsuite, it's about to get wet!

3. Movie Day/Night

Do people still go to the movies these days? Anyway--plan a day/night at the movies with your squad & spoil yourself with your favorite snacks. Hey! You deserve it because you didn't go to Paris for Summer like your snobbish co-worker/classmate who you stalked on Instagram and whose probably going to brag about the entire trip when they return as if anybody cared. Totally not jealous by the way.

4. Go Out Dancing

You can either throw a dance party with  your friends at home, or finally take that cute black dress off the rack in your closet that you've been saving for a special occasion. Beat the heck out of your face & go to a disco boo!

5. Room Decor

"Wow! Room what Tye?". I know, I know it sounds a little far fetch but if you haven't already, you can give yourself a little change of scenery by decorating your room with either summer knick knacks or simply a new painting or night stand. Psst! I heard the thriftstore has great decor items for the low.

Remember Summer should be a time to enjoy yourself, have wholesome fun, and should be something to brag about when you get back to your sucky job or school. Don't stay home wasting precious time behind a computer screen. If you enjoyed this post, feel free to like, share & comment below what your plans are for the rest of the break. That being said, Love you guys & Happy Summer!

5 GIFTS TO GET YOUR GIRLFRIEND UNDER $20!!

If you're a male & you're reading this, most likely today is the anniversary of the day you & your girlfriend first met and you totally forgot! Perhaps the only change you have on you is a twenty dollar bill ($20). So you decided to take to Google to solve your dilemma on what you should get for bae. Well, you came to the right place! Without further ado here are 5 GIFTS TO GET YOUR GIRLFRIEND UNDER $20!

1. Skincare Products

If she's into the whole skin routine thing, buy her, her favorite skincare product, maybe she ran out of her last one. If you have no clue what her favorite skincare product may be then just purchase her the "Black Face Mask". It's a face mask that extracts whiteheads from the skin. It's really good!

2. Make-Up

Whatever you do, please don't guess the shade of your girlfriend's skin and choose her make-up for her, so disrespectful! Instead purchase her favorite shade of lipstick, or lip gloss. You may even want to go all out and get her an eyeliner. But remember that you're balling on a $20!

3. Cute NoteBook or Planner

Ensure that you know her sense of style. You wouldn't want to get her a pink planner with daisy flowers dangling from it when really her favorite color is black and she fancy red balloons.

4. Candy Yum-Yum

You literally could never go wrong with sweets or her favorite snack. Simply purchase as much candy as possible a $20 dollar bill can buy, place it in a mason jar, stick the words, "I love you" on it (and mean it) and you're good to go. You can thank me later.

5. Cute 3d Smartphone Case

It doesn't matter if she's rocking team Apple or team Android every girl is deserving of a phone case that suites her. With a $20 you most likely can get her two.

(P.s. Remember to remove the price tag before giving her your gift!). If you enjoyed today's post don't forget to share it with friends & follow us on G+ and Instagram at basedonyou.bytye!

HOW TO KEEP UP WITH YOUR SPIRITUAL ROUTINE IN 2018?!!

Last year 2017 was a blissful year for me. I've accomplished a plethora of my spiritual goals and on July 8, 2017 I was finally baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses! By the way you guys should check out our website jw.org. It teaches Bible Truths and provides answers to popular questions like, "Where Is The Dead?" or "Will Suffering Ever End", and more. Just use the search engine on the website and type in a question that you are curious about and I guarantee you'll find the answers right from the Bible! On the contrary, after my baptism I've noticed that I started to slow down in my regular study of the Bible. So I've came up with the perfect solution on, "HOW TO KEEP UP WITH YOUR SPIRITUAL ROUTINE IN 2018?!!".

1. Create A Spiritual Time Table

The first step to getting your spirituality back on track is organization! Create for yourself a spiritual time table and state exactly what you intend to do on each day of the week. Perhaps you would like to do your personal study of the bible or learn from the example of a bible character on a Monday. Keep in mind that you must pray, read your Bible and the daily text everyday.

2. Daily Notifications

Now that you've made your physical time table its time for you to use that feature on your smartphone called a calender and notification button to remind you throughout the day to keep up with what you wrote down. If necessary, do so on every device you own because we do not want to miss a day of our spiritual meal. Always think of it like this, when a person continues to eat unhealthy food or misses his meals everyday, he is in danger of becoming sick or even worst, death! Likewise, we want to make wise use of our time to take in accurate knowledge of our Creator rather than entertaining ourselves daily with what the media has to offer. Just remember this keyword, balance, and you'll be good to go!

3. Get A Spiritually Mature Friend To Help.

You would want to let a spiritually mature friend know about your goal so that you both can encourage one another. They can also act as a human reminder if you continue to ignore your digital ones. Spiritual best friends are the best ones to keep around!

4. Pray

Pray for Jehovah to give you his holy spirit to start and keep up with your spiritual routine. Remember you cannot do this alone! The bible says at 1 Peter 5:8, "Keep your senses, be watchful! Your adversary, the Devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking to devour someone." You will experience hardships & discouragement but please do not put down the bible because Satan will use that as an opportunity to step in and draw you away from Jehovah, believe me I know this all too well. Instead do as James 4:8 says and, "draw close to God, and he will draw close to you...".

5. Set Spiritual Goals & Get Started

James 2:26, "Indeed, just as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead". We cannot simply say that we love God and continue to go day by day without learning at least one thing about him from his inspired word. In that case it's best we never mentioned our love for him at all. To show genuine love for Jehovah God, and his son Jesus Christ we must set spiritual goals and meet them. When we do this we will without a doubt make his heart rejoice-- Proverbs 27:11.

Although we are living in times where the world is foreign to God, it doesn't mean we have to be. The bible promises that there will be a time when all pain, suffering and all the madness will be gone. (Psalm 37:10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were,And they will not be there.) In the main time let us try our best to live in a spiritual paradise now so that we can enjoy future blessings!
